When we hit the start button on your new short term goals, we must also hit the focus button as well.
Let's say for example that our short term goal is to run a 4 minute mile. Once we have started running, we
can not pull over to the side of the track to check our face book, and then
start running some more, and then stop running again to call your friend and expect to finish the mile in
4 minutes. Our short term goals, take longer to finally achieve because we are getting distracted.
As we become distracted we drift away from our focus, and focus is the main skill needed to succeed.
